Control Room

The control room plays a crucial role in optimizing coal stockpile management. With an integrated monitoring system, operators in the control room can oversee and regulate the flow of coal to the stockpile area in real-time. By utilizing technologies such as sensors, automated monitoring systems, and analytical software, the control room enables more efficient and effective stockpile management. This includes ensuring coal is stacked according to quality specifications, preventing overstocking, and managing inventory to ensure a sufficient and timely supply of coal for subsequent processes.

Automatic Sampler

The Automatic Sampler in a coal processing or transportation system is to automatically collect material samples at specified intervals. This device is designed to ensure that the sampling process is consistent and representative, enabling accurate analysis of the coal’s quality. With an Automatic Sampler, the sampling process becomes more efficient, minimizes the potential for human error, and ensures that the data obtained can be used for quality control, assessment, or documentation purposes.

Metal Detector

The function of a metal detector on a coal conveyor belt is to detect the presence of foreign metal objects mixed with the coal during the transportation process. This device acts as a preventive measure to protect equipment such as crushers, conveyors, and other machinery from damage caused by unwanted metal objects. By utilizing a metal detector, operational efficiency can be improved, and the risk of equipment damage or downtime can be minimized.

Barge Loading Capacity

Currently, the average loading capacity of the jetties is:

  • Jetty 1: Six barges per day.
  • Jetty 2: Two barges per day.
  • Jetty 3: Three barges per day.

Jetty Facilities

The port includes three jetty units designed for loading coal onto barges:

  • Jetty 1: Designed with a capacity of 2×2,500 tons per hour.
  • Jetty 2: Designed with a capacity of 1×1,500 tons per hour.
  • Jetty 3: Designed with a capacity of 2×1,500 tons per hour.

Stockpile

The port features a stockpile with a capacity of up to 400,000 tons of coal. This is equipped with both underground and above-ground reclaim belt feeders, with the underground feeders capable of handling 4×2,500 tons per hour, and the above-ground feeders capable of 3×2,500 tons per hour.

Coal Crushing Processing Facility

The port has a high-capacity coal crushing plant with a processing capability of 1,500 tons per hour, equipped with three radial stackers that separate the crushed products to ensure effective stockpile management.

Connection to SLR Road

The port is directly connected to the PT Servo Lintas Raya (SLR) road, allowing for the use of double trailers (2×75 tons). This connection facilitates the smooth and efficient transfer of coal from the mines to the port.
